The spread of COVID-19 has led to a health crisis in countries across the world, including significant disruptions to health systems and services.
The measures employed by the private sector to continue, adapt, or suspend workplace and community malaria programs during the COVID-19 pandemic are largely unknown. In response to a request from CAMA partners to study the impact of the pandemic on corporate malaria elimination efforts, GBCHealth is conducting an assessment and publishing a report on the The Impact of COVID-19 on Workplace & Community Malaria Programs.
The questionnaire and resulting compilation of case studies from companies will map the impact of COVID-19 on workplace and community malaria programs, highlight examples of good practice and propose recommendations for partnerships and investment, including with the public sector.
GBCHealth has invited all CAMA members, as well as members of the Global Fund Private Sector Constituency who have workforce/community malaria programs, to participate in this information-gathering exercise. The final report – which will contain case studies and recommendations – will be published in September.
If you have received the questionnaire, please reply by July 20th. If you would like to participate and for more information, please reach out to Ochuko Keyamo-Onyige at .
