Svetlana leads a team that oversees finance, business planning and operations at GBCHealth. She drives annual budgeting and planning process, coordinates the annual audit, manages organizational cash flow and forecasting, and presents financial matters to the Board of Directors. Svetlana’s programmatic portfolio includes oversight of GBCHealth’s engagement with the Private Sector Delegation (PSD) to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and development of the organizational RMNCAH strategy. From 2008-2013, Svetlana headed GBCHealth’s development and grants management function. In addition to managing partnerships with government, corporate and foundation donors and overseeing all aspects of the grant process, she orchestrated special events and initiatives, such as an online auction, to boost GBCHealth’s unrestricted revenue. Prior to GBCHealth, Svetlana was Senior Associate, Development and External Affairs at Transatlantic Partners Against AIDS (TPAA), where she was responsible for donor research and fundraising efforts for HIV prevention programs in Russia and Ukraine.
Svetlana holds an M.A. in International Relations from New York University and received her B.A. in Political Science from University of Bridgeport, which included one-year exchange at Wesleyan University and three years of law school in Russia. A native of Ekaterinburg, Russia, she is fluent in Russian.
