Project Manager
Rebecca provides project management, communications, and U.S. leadership for GBCHealth’s new partnership with UNFPA, which focuses on the demographic dividend and improving health for women and youth in West and Central Africa.
Rebecca brings fifteen years of management experience in advocacy, partnerships, special projects, and communications in academic medicine and international NGO settings. Since 2014, she has been a freelance consultant and strategist with a special focus on gender; reproductive, maternal, newborn, child health, and nutrition (RMNCHN); and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). The majority of her consulting work has included subcontracts for United Nations, U.S. Government, and Gates and Hewlett Foundation advocacy and communications initiatives in the Global South. In one of her most creative roles, Rebecca provided high-level strategic guidance and writing to Sesame Workshop’s Global Health Initiative featuring the new Muppet Raya. At WASH Advocates, she helped integrate WASH into high-level global conversations on gender and RMNCHN.
Rebecca previously worked at the United Nations Foundation, World Health Partners, Mount Sinai and NYU Medical Centers, and held field placements with NGOs in India and Argentina.
Rebecca holds a BS in Human Biology, Health and Society and an MPS in Health Administration, both from Cornell University.
