GBCHealth serves as a hub for business engagement on the world’s most pressing global health issues. Through convenings, partnership creation, advocacy and leadership and spearheading carefully selected initiatives, GBCHealth is the advisor of choice for companies interested in bringing their assets, skills and passion to help meet our shared vision for a healthier world.
GBCHealth is currently host/Secretariat to three private sector Alliances, providing a structured platform for groups of companies to influence policy at the global level and drive programming at the local level. In each Alliance, GBCHealth brings to bear its unique ability to orchestrate collective private sector action, represent the voice of business at all levels and facilitate knowledge- and best-practice sharing.
Tackling the health-related SDGs will require innovative partnerships with the private sector to ensure resources and expertise are dedicated to driving results. GBCHealth’s foundational financing initiative, the Health Credit Exchange (HCX), is a platform that connects business to impactful health and wellness programs targeting those most in need.
GBCHealth’s focus areas are those key health issues where private sector can have maximum impact through workplace, community and advocacy efforts. Companies of varying industries, sizes and areas of operation can work individually and collectively to improve health outcomes, with GBCHealth providing expertise and counsel to help them reach their goals.
GBCHealth advances private sector engagement on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH) through its communications, advocacy and partnership platforms, building on the foundational work of the organization.
The private sector has a critical role to play in ensuring that the newly-adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) lead to sustained positive health outcomes for all. GBCHealth strategically supports the engagement of business in the SDGs, with a focus on health targets and priorities.
