Malaria Portfolio, Strategy & Business Development
Sancia leads two of GBCHealth’s secretariat functions—the Corporate Alliance on Malaria in Africa (CAMA) and the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Private Sector Constituency (PSC). Within CAMA, she partners with the Alliance’s co-chairs—Chevron and Bayer—to oversee the CAMA team and develop and execute all program strategy, including expansion into key geographies such as Nigeria.
As Focal Point for the RBM PSC, Sancia works closely with the Private Sector Members Council (PSMC), a group of companies who drive deepened private sector engagement with the RBM Secretariat and Board on policy, governance and strategy issues. Sancia advises PSMC members on strategic activities involving various Partnership mechanisms, such as the GMAP II Taskforce, Vector Control Working Group and other committees.
GBCHealth’s longest-serving staff member, Sancia joined the organization in 2005 and has since worked extensively with companies at various levels of their global health and social investment engagements. She has expertise in workplace and community program development, public-private partnership formation and multilateral relations at the international and domestic level. Sancia holds a B.A. in international relations and French from Wesleyan College.
